Big Honeysuckle Root Rattle

This big rattle is a Honeysuckle Root and measures 16 inches. When I saw this piece partially submerged in the dirt, I couldn’t resist it. All I have done is clean it up a bit leaving this fantastic handle. I love how it feels in my hand (very fond of this one). I personally like a bend in a rattle handle, and here ya go. I think they play nicer with a bend preset. There is so much amazing detail here that it… is… a bit much… to process!!!

The two gourds are in their natural state, are filled with popcorn and topped with a tiny Cedar dowel. Their sound is crisp, bright and out going.
