BIG branched Crepe Myrtle Rattle

This BIG branched Crepe Myrtle Rattle measures 17 inches x 7 inches and weighs about 12 ounces. This is a big beauty and is slightly top heavy. I play it with the usual handle grip, and also by grasping it where it branches (both grips shown in photos). The chorus of sound coming from these 5 gourds is rich, full and fantastic. The gourds are filled with popcorn and topped with a tiny cedar dowels.

Crepe Myrtle has wonderful naturally occurring nubby features, which I preserve and highlight. They create a really nice hand feel. I have also preserved some of the nice bark where the branching occurs.
